Speaker Biography - Fred Scott

Director of Business Development for B.C. and the Pacific Northwest, Pristine Power Inc.

Fred Scott is the Director of Business Development for B.C. and the Pacific Northwest at Pristine Power Inc. Pristine Power is a Calgary-based IPP that develops, builds and operates conventional and alternative power generation projects that offer minimal technical and financial risk, high levels of reliability and environmental advantages over other generation technologies.

Previous to Pristine, Fred owned and operated Scott Energy Inc., a Victoria-based independent consulting firm. Scott Energy's main area of business included the technical and economic analysis of run-of-river, landfill and gas-fired generation projects. Fred recently completed a decade-long contract with Westcoast Energy in the Pacific Northwest, working in the power and gas marketing fields, as well as working with Westcoast Power in the greenfield power development area.

Fred has a Petroleum engineering degree from University of Alberta, and is a registered Professional Engineer in Alberta and British Columbia.
