Speaker Biography - Peter Brand (Quesnel, British Columbia)

Vice-President, Marketing and Business Development, Pinnacle Pellet Inc.

After a 27 year career in the electrical energy business with BC Hydro, Peter began his involvement in the wood pellet business at Pinnacle Pellet in Quesnel about 11 years ago.

Peter was instrumental in growing annual sales from less than 20,000 tonnes in 1999 to approximately 500,000 tonnes today. He was also a key player in Pinnacle's expansions, with new plants in Williams Lake in 2004, Houston BC (a joint venture with Canfor and the Moricetown Band) in 2006 and the acquisition of Armstrong Pellet in 2007.

Pinnacle is currently constructing its newest plant at Strathnavor, located between Quesnel and Prince George, and expects to begin production this summer.
